MISSION
We´re looking for a Public Relations Manager who will work closely with our studio management to help execute our publisher’s communication strategies and develop our studio´s image. Asobo Studio has developed 12 games so far that have reached 6,4 million copies in cumulated sales. Our studio is currently developing a AAA Kinect game published by Microsoft Studios. Responsibilities for this position include:
- Help execute communication strategies for our games:
In permanent coordination with our publishers who drive our games´ PR strategy, your duties will include: - Writing articles, fact sheets, interviews and other important text assets that will be used in the press and on our own website. The candidate is expected to write anything from newsletters to press releases. - Creating and regularly updating Asobo Studio website´s content. - Establishing and maintaining contact with journalists, answering their questions and assisting them with their requests. - Organizing guest´s visits in the studio and Asobo Studio representatives´ trips abroad for Public Relations. - Being in charge for all the deliverable PR assets for our publishers (screenshots, videos, photos…)
- Plan and execute communication strategies to develop Asobo Studio´s brand image :
- Creating and driving Asobo Studio´s institutional communication (web/ TV/ paper/ social networks) - Supervising the partners involved in Asobo Studio´s communication (webmaster/ printer/ freelance artists…) - Building and maintaining a vast network of specialized media contacts. - Working on the main industry events. - Delivering concise reports on PR activities and coverage of media. PROFILE
- Relevant higher education preferred but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Social and outgoing, you must also be able to make complex topics understandable to both gamers and non-gamers.
- A strong understanding of Business and Gaming (issues, leveraging research, financially aware)
- Strong ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- The candidate must have a good eye for visuals and have a natural flair for capturing and editing visual assets that will be used for communication
- Excellent presentation skills
- Knowledge and passion for video games and their industry highly desired
- Excellent English and French levels
- Familiarity with PC applications and public relations tools: Microsoft Office Suite for Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Recent and extensive experience in a similar role preferred, but not required.
9 to 12 month contract starting from October 2011 and located in Bordeaux, France.
